Prince Charles says his vintage Aston Martin runs on wine and cheese, driving on E85 bioethanol.

Prince Charles cut the cheese — but not in the way that smells rank.

The 72-year-old royal’s vintage Aston Martin — a 21st birthday gift from Queen Elizabeth II — allegedly uses food and booze to fuel its engine.

Prince Charles said in a new interview with the BBC.

My old Aston Martin, that runs now on waste products.

“It runs on — can you believe this — surplus English white wine and whey from the cheese process.”

Well, if we’re getting technical here, the vehicle drives on a type of fuel called E85 that is 15% unleaded gasoline and 85% bioethanol.

The interview took place in a garden he planted to commemorate the birth of 8-year-old Prince George at the Firm’s Scottish estate, Balmoral Castle.

The Prince of Wales said that he uses certain practices that mix his passion for the environment into his daily life. And one of them is using wine and cheese to make his sports car more efficient.

In a separate chat with the Telegraph in 2018, Charles asked the Aston Martin engineers to find him a new fuel source for his automobile.

He was first met with some criticism and confusion.

“The engineers at Aston said, ‘Oh, it’ll ruin the whole thing,’” he explained to the British publication at the time.

“I said, ‘Well, I won’t drive it then,’ so they got on with it and now they admit that it runs better and is more powerful on that fuel than it is on petrol,” he said.

“And also, it smells delicious as you’re driving along,” he joked.

In the recent BBC interview, Charles also admitted that he was “accused of being anti-science,” adding, “It wasn’t much fun, as you can imagine.”

“Why do you think I’ve done [environment activism] for all these years? Because I’ve minded about — and always have done — the next generations,” he said. “I’ve been doing this really to make sure my children, your grandchildren and everybody else’s have some future.”
