ORLEN Deutschland starts selling HVO100 at the star petrol station in Achim.
The synthetic diesel fuel HVO100 is now available at the star station at Uphuser Heerstraße 60A in Achim. The sale of HVO100 goes hand in hand with ORLEN Deutschland’s strategic goal of expanding its range of climate-friendly, sustainable fuels and continuously reducing CO2 emissions.
HVO100 diesel can be sold at fuel stations in Germany from 29 May 2024. HVO100 (Hydrotreatet Vegetable Oils) is produced from residual and waste materials (vegetable oils) and can reduce greenhouse gas emissions by up to 90 per cent. In addition, the alternative diesel fuel burns cleaner and has a positive effect on air quality by reducing pollution. HVO100 is suitable for diesel vehicles that have been approved by the vehicle manufacturer and do not require conversion.
