BayoTech is proud to announce our membership with the European Biogas Association (EBA). Founded in February 2009, EBA is the leading European association in the field of biogas and biomethane production. EBA has created a network of established national organizations, scientific institutes and companies committed to the deployment of biomethane and other renewable gases across Europe.

EBA advocates for their recognition as sustainable, on demand and flexible energy sources that provide multiple knock on socio-economic and environmental benefits.

Steve Jones, BayoTech Vice President, Europe.

Renewable gases will play a key role in supporting the EU’s commitment to achieving carbon neutrality by 2050.

“Biogas represents an important pathway to hydrogen production that makes carbon neutral, or even carbon negative, hydrogen achievable today. The European Biogas Association is a committed advocate for the production and consumption of renewable gases throughout Europe and we look forward to working together to help spread the message”.

“BayoTech technologies are based on the production of hydrogen through biogas and the integration of these 2 renewable gases with their respective advantages in one production chain can help us to significantly reduce GHG emissions in multiple sectors. In transport, we can reach negative emissions and power highly efficient cars, trucks, buses, ships and trains.

Harmen Dekker, President of the EBA.

This is an optimal solution to scale-up the renewable gas industry and develop our future energy systems

EBA’s membership comprises national biogas associations, institutes and companies from over 29 countries all across Europe. The member associations cover the majority of producers, companies, consultants and researchers in the field of biogas within Europe.

Supported by its members, EBA is committed to work with European institutions, industry, agricultural partners, NGOs and academia to develop policies which can enable the large-scale deployment of renewable gases and organic fertilisers throughout Europe, supported by transparent, well established sustainability certification bodies to ensure sustainability remains at the core of the industry.
