Aral has launched Aral HVO (Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil), a new low-emission fuel for commercial vehicle customers, at selected service stations in Germany.
This marks another step in the company’s strategy to expand its high-quality fuel portfolio with sustainable alternatives. The new renewable fuel is now available at branded truck stops in Schönfeld (Saxony) and Schnaittach (Bavaria).
Achim Bothe, CEO of Aral AG, said:

Since late 2024, fleet customers have been able to refuel with this new product at ten automatic diesel stations across Germany. The company plans to further expand availability by mid-2025, creating a network of refueling points along key transit routes to support bus and truck customers.
The company’s commitment to sustainable mobility solutions is further evidenced by its efforts in electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure. In January 2023, the chain opened Europe’s first e-truck charging corridor along a 600-kilometer section of the Rhine-Alpine corridor.
With a comprehensive approach that includes both renewable fuels and electric charging options, Aral continues to position itself as a leader in sustainable energy solutions for the mobility sector.
